Day 1: Arrive Cape Town / Langebaan
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by your travel representative and assisted to your Drive South Africa rental vehicle. Depart the Mother City and travel north through Bloubergstrand with spectacular views of Table Mountain across Table Bay. Continue along the coastal route visiting the Posberg Nature Reserve, renowned for its blooming carpets of indigenous flowers and free roaming antelope. Make your way to the jewel of the west coast, Langebaan. Langebaan is set on the beautiful Langebaan Lagoon and is a popular seaside resort, offering an array of water sports and activities including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking. Enjoy an overnight stay at The Farmhouse Hotel.
Day 2: Langebaan / Cederberg Mountains
Leaving Langebaan, we suggest a visit to one of the quaint west coast fishing villages such as Paternoster or Lambert’s Bay, and experience one of the informal outdoor restaurants where fresh seafood compliments the inspiring view. After mellowing in the laid-back character of the west coast, head inland towards the Cederberg Wilderness Mountains, where you spend the next 2 nights at Kagga Kamma Private Game Reserve.
Day 3: Cederberg Mountains
Kagga Kamma, with its 15 000ha of pristine peaceful wilderness, otherworldly Cederberg rock formations and rich San cultural history, is a fascinating area off the beaten track. View rock paintings, adventure out on a guided quad bike safari, hiking trail or mountain bike track, enjoy a massage at the health spa or relax in luxury under the stars. Sumptuous cuisine and excellent local wines can be enjoyed under a sparkling astral blanket in the stunning rock boma.
Day 4: Cederberg Mountain / Clanwilliam
From the peaceful rest of Kagga Kamma, make you way to the picturesque town of Clanwilliam, situated at the foot of the looming Cederberg mountain range. Clanwilliam offers a host of relaxing activities from the scenic beauty of the flowers in 'flower season' to bird watching, mountain walks and wanderings amongst the historical buildings. The area is famous for growing and cultivating Rooibos Tea and for its original leather ‘Veldskoene’ factory. Unwind for the night at Clanwilliam Lodge.
Day 5: Clanwilliam / Depart Cape Town
After leaving the serenity of Clanwilliam, carry on the road to Paarl, we suggest you stop at some of the fine wine estates in this region of the Cape Winelands, before returning to where your journey began at Cape Town International Airport.
