Western Cape and Cape Town Nature Reserves
The Silvermine Nature Reserve forms a part of the Table Mountain National Park, a protected conservation area, located about ten minute's drive from the Cape Town city centre. If you’re still a bit unfit after all those months on the couch, the low intensity hike trail is just for you. The reserve offers ’n panoramic view of Hout Bay, Simonstown and Noordhoek, overlooking the ocean.
The Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserveis situated in Langeberg, about 22 km northwest of Heidelberg on the N2 highway. The two day walks and a short cycle trail will ensure that you have a packed and wonderful weekend away in the most fascinating indigenous forest in the Cape.
